As a Sports Coach , you'll lead meaningful play experiences that promote teamwork, wellness, and social-emotional learning. This part-time role (25 hours per week) is ideal for individuals who love working with K-5 students and want to make a real impact by teaching life skills through movement — in both English and Spanish. Key Responsibilities:

Lead Structured Recess & Activities:

Facilitate inclusive, high-energy games for K-5 students that foster collaboration, confidence, and fun. Create a

Safe & Active Environment:

Prepare and set up daily activity zones using HERO's structured play model.

Promote Social-Emotional Learning:

Use play to reinforce communication, conflict resolution, empathy, and teamwork.

Maintain Equipment:

Care for play materials and ensure organized use during all activities.

Support Student Leadership:

Mentor and supervise student leaders as they take on responsibilities during recess and school events.

Facilitate Physical Activity Workshops:

Lead age-appropriate, engaging classes focused on movement, wellness, and character-building.

Bilingual Requirement:

Applicants must be fluent in both English and Spanish . Bilingual skills are essential for engaging with students and families in our diverse school communities.
