Requirements / Qualifications
Requirements /Qualifications:
- Experience with high school and/or higher level of coaching experience in the sport including knowledge of coaching techniques, rules and regulations, and psychology as it relates to sports participation
- A demonstrated ability to engage in positive relationships between student athletes, coaches and parents.
- A demonstrated ability to serve as a positive role model for student-athletes and a commitment to holding all adults associated with the program to that same standard.
- Engage in experiences that allow for student-athletes to develop and demonstrate leadership skills.
- Engage in learning and skill development that supports all student-athletes in fulfilling their potential.
- A demonstrated ability to follow chain of command, instructions and directions as directed by school administrators.
- Experience in cooperative working relationships with parents and athletic booster clubs.
- Knowledge of and commitment to comply with the CIF Code of Ethical Conduct for Athletic team coaches.
- A demonstrated ability to meet timelines and time requirements as directed by the administration.
Essential Duties:
- Instruct student-athletes in the rules, regulations, equipment, and technique of the specific sport
- Supervise players during practice and competition
- Evaluate players' skills and maintain fairness to all student-athletes
- Collaborate with coaching staff to determine game strategy and practice plans
- Maintain student-athlete roster and submit list as directed
