FOUNDRY - PART-TIME COACH

San Diego Type:
Part-Time (6-10 hours/week to start)
What You'll Be Doing:
Coaching structured, 60-minute group sessions (up to 18 members) Leading clear demos and setting expectations before each block Coaching in real time — adjusting movement, intensity, and pacing Managing flow, transitions, and energy across the class structure Holding members accountable to standards, not just effort Creating a consistent, professional class experience regardless of time of day
What This Role Requires:
You need to be able to: Coach movement, not just call it out You can see inefficiencies quickly and fix them simply Control a room 18 people, different abilities, moving at once — and it stays organized Communicate with clarity Short, direct, and actionable cues Understand intent Strength day ≠ conditioning day ≠ endurance day Stay consistent Same standard whether it's 6am or 6pm
Minimum Qualifications:
Prior coaching experience in group fitness or performance training Strong understanding of: Strength training fundamentals Basic conditioning systems (aerobic vs anaerobic) Movement quality and scaling Ability to demonstrate exercises cleanly and confidently
