QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a positive role model, inspiring, passionate, esteem builder, approachable, honest, fair, excellent communicator.
• High School team competition experience preferred with a thorough knowledge of current high school competition score sheets and competitive team division placement.
• Experience in competitive high school choreography: Lyrical, Contemporary Jazz, Hip Hop, Pom, Novelty (Soloist, small, intermediate, large groups).
• Possess and will provide a valid First Aid/CPR certificate from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. CUSD does not accept online CPR training/certificates.
• Possess and will provide a valid completion certificate of NFHS Concussion in Sports-What you Need to Know through http://www.nfhslearn.com.
• Possess and will provide a valid completion certificate of NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest through http://www.nfhslearn.com.
• Possess and will provide a valid completion certificate of NFHS Heat Illness Prevention through http://www.nfhslearn.com.
• Possess and will provide a certificate of NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching through http://www.nfhslearn.com.
• Possess and will provide a copy of a current Mantoux, PPD or TST Tuberculosis test results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Practice and competition schedule.
• Choreography
• Costuming
• Artistic direction for competition pieces.
• Music selection.
• Props.
• Decision maker for competition pieces and dancer roles
• will be responsible with dance team advisor for behavioral issues that arise from decisions.
• Team building and bonding exercises.
• Attend Encore Club parent meetings when necessary.
• Dancer awards for banquet.
• Assist with selection of team captains.
• Try-outs.
• Summer camps.
• Attend 2-week intensive dance home camp.
• Concert duties include: Rehearsal schedule, show order, choreography, assist set-up and tear down.
• Attend competitions/sports games for performances.
