Job Description

Recreational Gymnastics DirectorJob Overview Central Coast Gymnastics is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Recreational Gymnastics Director to lead and grow our recreational gymnastics program. This leadership position is ideal for someone who loves coaching, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and leads by example through positivity, professionalism, and high energy. The Recreational Director will oversee all aspects of our recreational gymnastics program, including coach development, class quality, customer experience, enrollment growth, and day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can inspire both athletes and coaches while creating a fun, engaging, and organized environment where children love to learn and families love to stay. Responsibilities Lead and coach recreational gymnastics classes while serving as a positive role model for athletes and staff Create a fun, energetic, and engaging class experience that promotes skill development, confidence, and a love for gymnastics Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate recreational coaches to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction Establish and maintain coaching standards, class flow expectations, and customer service excellence Observe classes regularly and provide feedback and coaching to staff members Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing professional development of coaches Monitor enrollment, retention, and class capacities while identifying opportunities for growth Partner with the management team to develop strategies for increasing enrollment and improving member retention Communicate effectively with parents, addressing questions and concerns in a professional and positive manner Ensure all classes maintain the highest standards of safety, organization, and professionalism Coordinate special events, clinics, camps, and recreational program activities throughout the year Maintain a positive team culture that supports coach engagement, accountability, and development Qualifications Previous gymnastics coaching experience required Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Passion for working with children and helping coaches grow professionally Demonstrated ability to motivate, mentor, and lead a team Highly energetic, enthusiastic, and engaging personality Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build positive relationships with families Experience with class management, lesson planning, and staff development preferred What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: ✅ Leads by example and isn't afraid to jump into classes ✅ Brings energy, enthusiasm, and positivity every day ✅ Creates an environment where kids are excited to come to class ✅ Coaches and develops other coaches ✅ Takes ownership of program growth and quality ✅ Builds strong relationships with families and staff ✅ Believes great coaching and great customer service go hand-in-hand If you are passionate about gymnastics, love working with children, and enjoy developing coaches while building an outstanding recreational program, we'd love to hear from you
