Qualifications:

Valid Coaching Certification

• Demonstrated success in building a positive culture in an athletic program.
• Successful baseball coaching experience
• Strong background in coaching student athletes while upholding the ideals of academic excellence, integrity, and sportsmanship.
• Thorough command of baseball coaching strategies and skills.
• Working knowledge of athletic policies and procedures of the William S. Hart Union High School District, Foothill League and the CIF.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to work collaboratively and productively with other coaches and staff members.
• Demonstrated outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
• Effective communication skills
• Professional demeanor when representing Castaic High School and the William S. Hart Union High School District.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the school Administration, Athletic Director and the Director of Student Activities to instill high standards and expectations for all student athletes.
• Experience in working with budgets, booster organizations, inventory controls, and media representatives.
• Willingness to take and pass all required courses and training sessions annually.

A teaching position may be available in the 2026-2027 school year. Teachers who are employed at a different high school within the William S. Hart UHSD cannot be considered as a candidate for this coaching position.
