TSM Aquatics About TSM:
TSM is a USA Swimming Club located in the beautiful city of Santa Monica, California, and has been a valued part of the aquatic sports community for over 70 years. Our program is well known across the nation and internationally due to our history and success in the pool and open water. Built on a strong foundation of excellence, TSM Aquatics offers a variety of swim and water polo programs designed to develop skills, foster teamwork, and ignite a lifelong passion for aquatic sports. Our club takes pride in nurturing swimmers who have competed at national and international levels, including Olympians and World Championship athletes. At TSM Aquatics, we are committed to helping each athlete reach their full potential both in and out of the water.
About the position:
We are seeking a coach who is excited and enthusiastic about coaching and teaching children of all ages and skill levels. Our PreTeam coaches will be coaching from the pool deck, need to manage groups with multiple skill levels, and need to meet the following qualifications: Have the legal right to work in the United States. Be a dependable and responsible person with high energy and enthusiasm.
Have experience in competitive swimming:
Swim competitively and/or Coach competitively Have a passion for the sport and maintain a positive attitude. Be available to work and attend the weekly staff meetings [via Zoom]. Hold valid Lifeguard and CPR certifications. Be solution-oriented Be open-minded about TSM's process, even if it's different from your usual style. Strive to communicate clearly, collaborate happily with others, and build meaningful connections with children.
Daily Responsibilities:
Show up on deck 15 min before the start of the shift, or earlier if requested by the supervisor. Start and finish each session on time Coach each group according to the lesson plan and guidelines provided Keep swimmers moving through the session without spending too much time on the wall Answer parents' questions or direct them to the Associate Head Coach for help.
Hours of Operation :
Monday-Friday 3:15-7:00 PM Saturdays 8:45 AM - 11:00 AM.
Compensation:
Starting at $25/hr
