Head Boys Water Polo Coach 2026-2027 School Year Prospect High School is seeking a strong, experienced, student-centered leader and role model to serve as our Head Boys Water Polo Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. This position plays an important role in delivering an exceptional high school experience within a diverse, supportive, and equity-focused school community. At Prospect, we value belonging, connection, and growth. Our coaches are educators first. They are expected to support students academically, socially, and athletically while building programs that reflect the values of our school community. The Head Boys Water Polo Coach leads all aspects of the program, including long-term planning, daily operations, and alignment across all levels. The coach is responsible for creating a competitive and developmentally sound program that supports student-athletes both on and off the field. Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction for the entire Boys Water Polo program. Organize and oversee practices, competitions, and team events. Develop and manage the program budget and equipment. Recruit, support, and evaluate assistant coaches. Coordinate with school administration, the athletic department, and booster organizations. Foster positive relationships with parents, community members, and media outlets.The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Ability to build on existing strengths while setting high standards for players and staff.Coaching Knowledge:
Strong understanding of water polo strategy, skill development, and program alignment across levels.Vision and Planning:
Capacity to create and execute a clear plan for sustained program growth.Player Development:
A proven commitment to player development, including the ability to teach fundamentals, elevate water polo IQ, and support the growth of student-athletes at all levels of the program. Experience integrating strength and conditioning principles to support overall athletic performance.Mentorship:
Commitment to teaching the game while modeling integrity, accountability, and teamwork with both coaches and athletes.Organization and Accountability:
Skill in delegating responsibilities, supervising staff, and conducting end-of-season evaluations. Qualifications ISBE or ASEP certification required. Previous head coaching experience preferred.Application Requirements:
