Fallowfield Montessori School is looking for a part-time Debate Coach to work with elementary-aged students during our summer camp program. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and can make debate, public speaking, critical thinking, and respectful discussion fun and engaging for young learners.

Schedule:

A couple of times per week, mainly in the late afternoon. Exact days and times can be flexible based on availability.

Responsibilities include:

Teaching basic debate skills in an age-appropriate way Helping students build confidence in public speaking Leading fun speaking, argument-building, and teamwork activities Encouraging respectful listening and thoughtful discussion Creating a positive, supportive classroom environment Working with elementary-aged students in small groups Ideal candidate: Has experience with debate, speech, public speaking, mock trial, Model UN, or a related activity Enjoys working with young children Is patient, energetic, and reliable Can keep lessons structured but fun Has prior teaching, tutoring, coaching, or camp experience Must be able to pass a background check This is a part-time summer position with competitive pay based on experience.

Pay:

$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
