Responsibilities Plan and execute comprehensive basketball training sessions and practices tailored to various skill levels, emphasizing fundamental techniques, game strategies, and teamwork. Lead practices and coaching sessions that motivate and teach players how to improve their athletic abilities while ensuring safety and proper technique. Develop individualized performance plans to support student-athletes' physical development and skill progression. Promote sportsmanship, positive behavior management, and teamwork among participants to foster a respectful and inclusive team culture. Organize and oversee game-day activities, including team warm-ups, strategy implementation, and post-game reviews. Collaborate with school staff, parents, and community members to support student-athletes' academic success and personal growth. Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance assessments, and injury reports while ensuring compliance with all safety protocols. Experience Prior experience in sports coaching and teaching basketball at a high school level. Background in teaching performance, strength, and speed training. Background in playing at a collegiate level preferred. Experience in childcare or youth development roles that involve behavior management and mentorship preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead engaging sports programs Strong communication skills combined with a passion for fostering teamwork, leadership, and healthy competition among young athletes.
