Print The Pajaro Valley Unified School District annually hires coaches to prepare athletes for competition.

Coaches have responsibility for:

a. teaching sports techniques, playing rules, strategies and playing tactics; b. conditioning athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength and agility; c. supervising and conducting practices and contests safely; supervising locker rooms and buses; d. teaching sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one's team; e. monitoring athletes' school attendance, grades and personal conduct; collaborating with school staff f. responding to player injuries with approved first aid techniques; g. managing uniforms, equipment, and school facilities in a responsible manner; completing field trip paperwork h. provide coverage for absence of coaches. The Head Coach will work with the Athletic Director, School Staff and Administration in support of our belief in the importance of the strong link between academics and athletics. .
