The Varsity Girls Basketball Coach -Pajaro High School will be responsible for: 1. Teaching sports techniques, rules, strategies, and game tactics. 2. Conditioning athletes to develop endurance, strength, and agility. 3. Supervising practices, contests, locker rooms, and transportation to ensure safety and discipline. 4. Instilling values such as sportsmanship, teamwork, work ethic, and accountability. 5. Monitoring academic performance, school attendance, and personal conduct of athletes. 6. Providing first aid and attending to player injuries using approved methods. 7. Managing uniforms, equipment, and facilities responsibly. 8. Ensuring coverage for practices or events in case of coaching absences. Job Description /

Coaches have responsibility for:

a. teaching sports techniques, playing rules, strategies and playing tactics; b. conditioning athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength and agility; c. supervising and conducting practices and contests safely; supervising locker rooms and buses; d. teaching sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one's team; e. monitoring athletes' school attendance, grades and personal conduct; collaborating with school staff f. responding to player injuries with approved first aid techniques; g. managing uniforms, equipment, and school facilities in a responsible manner; completing field trip paperwork h. provide coverage for absence of coaches.
