A Coach works with individual athletes or with sports teams to develop skills and improve teamwork and competitive performance. Runs practice sessions and physical conditioning programs; assesses the strengths and weaknesses of players; plans strategies for games; motivates and encourage players and teaches good sportsmanship.
Job Summary Golden Eagle Charter School is seeking a South County Middle School Volleyball Coach for the upcoming season. This position serves student-athletes from South Siskiyou County. Practices are held in Yreka, with games and tournaments at various locations.
Compensation:
$160 per week stipend Covers up to three practices, games, and/or tournaments per week The number of weeks may vary slightly depending on the official practice schedule. Stipend is paid at the conclusion of the season.
Qualifications:
Previous volleyball coaching experience is preferred. Candidates with competitive volleyball experience and experience working with youth are encouraged to apply. Ability to foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive learning environment. Must successfully complete all required pre-employment clearances and coaching requirements before the start of the season.
