Non-exempt Hourly wage $20.00 - $23.00 per hour DOE Position Summary Coach and oversee all phases of aquatic teams and competitions Essential Duties Create and maintain contacts to promote swim and dive teams Manage and communicate calendar of events to include meets and practices Plan and execute registration events, team events, practices, and meets Attend and coach at all team practices and meets Hire, train, and manage performance of assistant coaches Maintain and update budget, Meet Manager, and team website Maintain communication with league coaches and parents of team members Maintain team and event equipment Complete and forward billing Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of team members Provide first aid as needed Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services Other Duties Participates in pool safety programs and risk management. Has knowledge of specific state and local laws and statutes regarding pool safety and inspections. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
3 years' experience Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification through American Red Cross Expert ability to project voice and articulate instructions to swimmer Solid communication and interpersonal skills Basic math skills Ability to balance, stoop, crouch, reach, handle, finger, feel, speak, hear, and see (near and far) Ability to climb, walk and stand to a significant degree, exert up to 15 pounds of force frequently and up to 40 pounds of force occasionally Working Conditions Will include exposure to variety of weather and an increased noise levels Will include working on slippery surfaces and a busy environment Exposure to odorous and possible harsh chemicals Additional Requirements Because this role works directly with minors, candidates may be required to successfully complete a background screening prior to employment.
