Cheer Coach Littleton Preparatory Charter School Littleton, CO Job Details Part-time $2,800 - $4,200 a year 18 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Program design Working with middle schoolers Leadership Cheerleading Full Job Description Job Summary Littleton Prep is seeking an experienced, high-energy, and safety-conscious cheer coach. As the Varsity Coach, you will be responsible for developing a competitive and spirited program that represents our school at athletic events, pep rallies, and local competitions. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, cheer knowledge, leadership skills, and a passion for mentoring middle school athletes as they transition and prepare for high school-level athletics.
Responsibilities Technical Training:
Teach and refine intermediate cheer fundamentals, including sharp motions, jumps, proper vocal projection, and synchronization.
Stunting & Safety:
Lead progressive, age-appropriate stunting progressions (e.g., prep level, extensions, cradles) with strict adherence to middle school safety regulations and proper spotting techniques.
Choreography:
Design and teach engaging half-time routines, sidelines, chants, and dances for basketball and flag football seasons.
Game-Day Leadership:
Manage and supervise the squad during home games, select away games, and school pep rallies, ensuring the team projects high energy and school spirit.
High School Readiness:
Focus on conditioning, flexibility, and technique to prepare 8th-grade athletes for high school cheer tryouts.
Team Administration:
Conduct fair and organized tryouts, manage athlete attendance, monitor academic eligibility, and maintain clear, professional communication with parents, assistant cheer coach and the Athletic Director.
Qualifications Cheer Experience:
Background in cheerleading.
Coaching Experience:
Prior experience coaching youth sports, dance, or cheerleading is preferred, but not required.
Leadership Style:
Ability to command a room with positive authority, balancing high expectations for behavior and athleticism with a supportive team culture.
Background Check:
Clear completion of a school district background check and fingerprinting (we will provide and schd schedule).
