Northglenn Health & Fitness is hiring a Part-Time Functional Strength & Conditioning Coach who is eager to learn, grow, and build a career with us as we expand. This role is primarily morning coaching hours , with shifts beginning as early as 5:15am . Additional opportunities may include limited afternoon coaching, one evening shift per week, occasional Saturday mornings , and participation in gym events throughout the year. The right coach enjoys early mornings, thrives on building relationships, and wants to make a meaningful impact in clients' lives. About NHF At Northglenn Health & Fitness, our mission is simple: Coach everyBODY to do things they never thought possible. We specialize in helping adults, especially women 30+ who are beginners or returning to fitness, feel confident and strong in a supportive environment. We are not a group fitness bootcamp. Every client has their own program that we deliver in a semi-private setting (up to 4 clients at a time) as well as 1:1 personal training. We have a detailed coaching process that ensures every client, no matter their background or experience, gets the same high level of service and support.
What You'll Be Doing:
Coach semi-private sessions: lead up to 4 clients at once while giving individualized attention, enthusiasm, and encouragement.
Deliver personal training:
provide tailored 1:1 sessions to help clients move safely and effectively toward their goals.
Build community:
get people talking, engaging, and connecting in a positive way during and outside of sessions.
Coach with empathy:
support each client's unique journey with patience, positivity, and a big heart.
Provide clear technical feedback:
ensure proper form, movement quality, and safety while keeping sessions fun and engaging.
Follow our proven process:
deliver coaching in line with NHF's systems to maintain consistent, high-quality experiences for all clients.
Be a positive force:
bring energy, optimism, and professionalism to every shift, every session, and every client interaction.
Who We're Looking For:
Outgoing and natural at lifting people up in any situation. Loves to coach and help others get the most out of their time in the gym. Creates a fun, inclusive, and engaging environment for members. Self-starter who is eager to grow and learn. Open to constructive feedback and committed to improving as a coach. Empathetic, supportive, and genuinely cares about every client's individual journey. Detail-oriented and able to follow proven systems to deliver a consistent client experience. Qualifications 1+ years coaching experience in functional training, CrossFit, strength & conditioning, personal training, or athletic performance. Strong understanding of foundational movement patterns (squat, hinge, push, pull, lunge, core). Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, NSCA, ACSM, CF-L1, USAW, or similar). CPR/AED certified (or willing to obtain). Excellent communication skills with the ability to encourage, demonstrate, and correct movement effectively. Nice to Have Experience leading semi-private or small group training. Additional certifications in mobility, nutrition, corrective exercise, or specialty training. Schedule & Expectations Mornings, afternoons, evenings, and occasional Saturday mornings. Schedule may vary depending on client demand. Must arrive early, be prepared, and bring energy to every session. Flexibility to step in and cover sessions as needed.
