A Coach works with individual athletes or with sports teams to develop skills and improve teamwork and competitive performance. Runs practice sessions and physical conditioning programs; assesses the strengths and weaknesses of players; plans strategies for games; motivates and encourage players and teaches good sportsmanship.
Prepare team for interscholastic competition; supervise players at all practices and games.
QUALIFICATIONS
Meet all requirements for coaching certification as set forth by the State of CT. Must have knowledge of activity, and ability to work with young people and with students with intellectual and physical disabilities.
RENUMERATION
Proper placement on coaches' salary schedule.
