This position is ideal for someone passionate about youth sports and committed to fostering a positive and supportive environment for student-athletes. The assistant coach will work closely with the head coach to develop players' skills, promote teamwork, and encourage a love for the game of soccer. Responsibilities Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices, ensuring a safe and productive environment for all players. Help develop training sessions that focus on skill development, tactics, and team strategy. Provide guidance and support to student-athletes during practices and games, fostering a positive team culture. Assist with game day preparations, including setting up equipment, managing player substitutions, and providing on-field support. Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and expectations. Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect among players and opponents. Attend all scheduled practices, games, and team meetings, contributing to a consistent coaching presence. Collaborate with the head coach to evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback. Help manage team logistics, including travel arrangements and equipment management. Requirements A strong passion for soccer and a desire to promote the sport among young athletes. Previous playing or coaching experience in soccer is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes. Ability to work effectively as part of a coaching team and collaborate with the head coach. Availability for after-school practices and weekend games during the soccer season.
