Job Description

King School is an independent, co-educational college preparatory day school serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. We are a diverse, vibrant learning community dedicated to educational excellence and the fullest academic and personal achievement of our students. King School Girls Volleyball has been the most competitive prep program in New England for the past 15 years, with 10 straight championships and only one loss in the past four years, while earning national recognition with the past two Gatorade players of the year in Connecticut. King is looking for qualified applicants with High School or College Volleyball coaching and/or playing experience who are looking to be part of the continued high level success and culture of excellence that has been cultivated and developed in the program. Highly motivated candidates possessing strong leadership and communication skills are encouraged to apply. The assistant coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of the program, including assisting with day-to-day operations, planning out practice and training sessions, and helping with athlete and game management. The assistant coach will also be expected to uphold and promote the mission and philosophy of the King School and the Athletic Department, while following the rules set forth by the Fairchester Athletic Association and the New England Prep School Athletic Council. Successful candidates will have the proven ability to constructively collaborate with both adults and children in a positive spirit.
