Assistant Varsity and/or JV Girls Volleyball Coach Sidwell Friends School - 4.4 Washington, DC Job Details Part-time 3 hours ago Qualifications School experience Organizational skills 1 year Entry level Full Job Description Sidwell Friends, a co-educational PK-12 Quaker day school with campuses in Washington, DC, and Bethesda, MD, seeks applicants with a passion for coaching as an Assistant Varsity and/or JV Girls Volleyball Coach for Fall 2026. The fall season begins in mid to late August and concludes in November. Coaching responsibilities involve promoting and creating a positive team culture, developing fundamentals and skills of the game, organizing and enthusiastically running practices, and implementing effective game strategies. It is expected that Coaches will maintain a high standard of integrity in all aspects of team management, foster a culture that promotes the Quaker values of the School and academic experience of the student, and intentionally integrate school's core values as the framework from which to coach and build athletic programs. A thoughtful approach and a desire to constantly improve, and innovative thinking will be essential to success in this role. Candidates must have a passion for coaching and developing young players. A minimum of 1 year of successful coaching experience at the collegiate or high school level, and/or in a strong club volleyball setting. High-level playing or team managerial experience may be considered in lieu of the full year of coaching experience. A bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required. Coaching positions at Sidwell Friends School are campus-based; therefore, this position requires coaching in person. Compensation Stipend $2,500.00-$4,500.
