Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Youth Sports Instructor to inspire and guide young athletes through engaging sports activities. This is a 5 week summer program, starting at the end of June. In this role, you will foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, skill development, and healthy habits. Your enthusiasm for sports and commitment to child development will help create memorable experiences that promote physical activity, discipline, and confidence among youth participants. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on children's lives while honing your coaching and teaching skills. Responsibilities Lead dynamic sports sessions across various activities such as basketball, soccer, flag football, track and field, and fitness. Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that promote skill-building, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing rules, supervising activities, and managing behavior effectively. Provide instruction in physical education fundamentals and proper techniques. Foster a supportive environment that encourages participation regardless of skill level while motivating children to achieve their personal best. Maintain equipment safety checks and ensure the cleanliness of activity areas in compliance with health standards. Communicate regularly with program director regarding campers progress and behavior during programs. Qualifications Prior experience in sports coaching, teaching physical education, or working with children in a recreational or educational setting. Knowledge of various sports. Strong skills in behavior management and creating inclusive environments for children of diverse backgrounds. Ability to demonstrate proper techniques.
