The Assistant Volleyball Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in the overall development and implementation of the women's volleyball program. This will include all areas of recruiting from correspondence to evaluations to visits, coaching and leadership of current student-athletes, administrative duties, working with any camps and clinics and any additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Coaching Assist the Head Coach with coaching of positions or athletes assigned. Support and enforce the head coach's philosophy. Assist in planning and implementation of court training Follow all NCAA rules and regulations and assist in promoting an environment of compliance Coordinate with the Head Coach in preparation of scouting reports. Communicate with Head Coach to aid in efficient communication to the student-athlete as it pertains to academics, volleyball, film, etc. Help administer team rules and policies. Assist with facilities and equipment as needed, as in coordination with the Director of Operations. Including but not limited to duties as specified for training, matches and team travel Assist with video and statistics analysis as needed for game planning, post-game, and training. (Volleymetrics, VolleyStation, Data Volley) B. Administration All administrative duties need to be done with precision and attention to detail. Assist with supervision of managers, practice players, and volunteers. Data entry for recruiting, as assigned. Recruiting tasks and travel, as assigned. Scrupulous and structured evaluations at Recruiting events, implementation of University Athlete and Arms. Alumni relations, database tracking, and coordinating of alumni functions. Assist with all banquets and functions. Assist with marketing, and game management if needed. C. Miscellaneous Additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach. Responsible for maintaining compliance with NCAA, Atlantic Coast Conference, institutional and departmental policies and procedures. Attend Hurricane Athletics functions. Represent the University of Miami in the best possible manor showing professionalism and integrity in all areas. Education Requirements (Essential Requirements): Bachelor's degree required. Work Experience Requirements (Essential Requirements): Three years of experience.
