Job Description

Youth Track & Field Trainer We are seeking a passionate Youth Track & Field Trainer to lead and inspire our young athletes. The ideal candidate has experience coaching youth athletes, strong teaching skills, and the ability to create a positive environment focused on skill development, confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship. Responsibilities Plan and conduct track and field training sessions focused on running mechanics, speed, agility, endurance, and field event fundamentals. Teach proper techniques for various track and field events, including sprints, relays, jumps, and throws (depending on experience). Motivate and encourage athletes to reach their individual goals while promoting teamwork and personal growth. Provide feedback and instruction to support athlete development and improve performance. Communicate with athletes, parents, and staff regarding schedules, progress, and program expectations. Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive training environment. Assist with organizing meets, competitions, and special events as needed. Experience Prior coaching or training experience, preferably in track and field. Experience working with youth athletes or in physical education is highly valued. Knowledge of athletic development, conditioning, and age-appropriate training methods. Ability to teach proper running form, speed development, and event fundamentals. Experience in other sports, fitness training, or strength and conditioning is a plus. CPR and First Aid certification are preferred but not required. About the Position We're looking for an enthusiastic trainer who can motivate young athletes, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love for track and field while helping them develop athletic skills that transfer to all sports.
