Team coaching experience is preferred, but experience coaching rec, and training in gymnastics or tumbling will be considered in your qualifications. Sun Country's team programs focus on athlete goals and fostering a love of gymnastics over competition placement. All positions require a great deal of enthusiasm and energy for spotting the necessary events, a love for working with children, and excellent communication and teaching skills. We expect a strong commitment to the practice schedule to minimize coaching changes. We are committed to a raised standard and high expectations in all aspects of our programs, and are looking for coaches who are eager to learn and work together as a member of a team to help maximize the potential of our students. Coaching positions are part-time, afternoons and early evenings. This position is approximately 12-18 hours per week. To be considered, applicants must be available at least 2-3 afternoons/evenings per week. Additional hours in other departments may be available as well, if desired. Required Strong knowledge of WAG Bars skills and USAG DP routine requirements for Levels 2-10 Skill in bars spotting techniques Physical ability to spot gymnasts up to 120 lbs repeatedly throughout practices Weekend availability to travel to competitions as needed Level-2 background screening pursuant to Florida Statutes CPR/1st Aid Certification required within 30 days Sun Country has been in successful business for over 35 years.
