As a key member of our sports program, you will lead youth soccer teams, foster teamwork, and promote physical activity through engaging coaching sessions. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help players improve their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game of soccer while emphasizing safety, sportsmanship, and fun. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while honing your coaching skills. Duties Design and implement age-appropriate soccer training sessions that focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Lead team practices and games, ensuring all activities are safe, inclusive, and engaging for players of varying skill levels. Provide clear instruction on soccer techniques such as passing, dribbling, shooting, and tactical positioning. Foster a positive team environment by encouraging communication, respect, and collaboration among players. Monitor players' physical health and safety during activities; respond promptly to injuries or emergencies using first aid or CPR as needed. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding player progress, behavior management, and upcoming events. Promote a fun and motivating atmosphere that inspires children to develop a lifelong love for soccer and physical activity. Experience Prior experience coaching soccer or other team sports at youth or recreational levels is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with children in educational or sports settings, with strong behavior management skills. Knowledge of sports-specific training techniques and coaching methods to enhance athletic performance. Certification in first aid and CPR; AED operation certification is a plus. Background in sports team leadership or physical education teaching enhances your ability to motivate young athletes. Experience working with diverse groups of children in health clubs, gyms, or community programs is advantageous.
