Position Summary As a Minor League Hitting Coach , you will be responsible for implementing hitting philosophies and player-specific development plans at the Minor League Level. This position will work in collaboration with the director of hitting and support staff to optimize offensive performance while working directly with players to enhance hitting mechanics, improving plate discipline, and integrate modern hitting analytics into training regimens. Strong communication skills, a data-driven approach, and the ability to connect with athletes are essential for success in this position. Essential Functions Implement and uphold the Miami Marlins' hitting philosophy ensuring alignment with the organization's overall development goals. Develop and execute individualized player development plans tailored to each hitter's mechanics, approach, and mental preparation. Utilize performance technology such as Trackman, Blast Motion, KinaTrax and Edgertronic cameras to analyze swing mechanics and approach at the plate. Collaborate and maintain open communication with the director of hitting, front office, strength & conditioning staff, medical staff, baseball solutions and sports science teams to optimize player performance and ensure organizational alignment. Provide detailed feedback through video analysis, in-game observations, and statistical reports. Support and mentor players in adjusting their offensive strategies based on advanced scouting reports and game situations. Foster a culture of learning, adaptability, and resilience among players. Stay updated on the latest advancements in hitting instruction, biomechanics, and player development strategies. Our Values We Are Great Teammates Supports and encourages colleagues.
