Cheer Coach

As a key part of our community-focused program, you will motivate students through dynamic routines, sportsmanship, and positive behavior management. Duties Lead and instruct students in cheerleading routines, stunts, chants, and dance sequences aligned with age-appropriate skill levels. Plan and organize weekly practice sessions that promote teamwork, discipline, and physical activity. Foster a safe environment by demonstrating proper techniques for cheerleading stunts, jumps, and formations while ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Encourage sportsmanship, positive attitude, and confidence among participants through motivational coaching and constructive feedback. Collaborate with school staff and program coordinators to coordinate schedules, communicate progress, and address any behavioral or safety concerns. Incorporate elements of other physical activities such as gymnastics or dance to enhance routines and keep practices lively. Support the development of leadership skills among students by encouraging peer support and team collaboration. Requirements Prior experience in cheerleading, sports coaching, or teaching physical education is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and adolescents in a structured setting. Knowledge of cheerleading techniques including stunts, jumps, tumbling, and choreography; experience with martial arts such as Karate or Judo is a plus. Background in childcare or teaching physical education with strong behavior management skills. Familiarity with sports like basketball or climbing activities that promote physical fitness is beneficial. Lifeguard experience or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to obtain relevant certifications is preferred. Ability to lead energetic sessions while maintaining safety standards in gym or outdoor environments such as health clubs or sports fields.
