POSITION OVERVIEW

Alpha Sports Camps is seeking energetic, responsible, and passionate Assistant Soccer Coaches to join our Nike Soccer Camp staff for Summer 2026 at Florida International University in Miami. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young athletes and helping create a fun, safe, and high-energy camp environment. Coaches will work closely with the Camp Director and Head Coaches to deliver quality soccer instruction while mentoring campers both on and off the field. We are also hiring a limited number of Overnight Coach/Counselor positions for staff interested in staying on campus during camp sessions. Overnight staff members will assist with evening counselor duties, camper supervision, activities, and dorm operations after sports sessions conclude each day.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have: Previous coaching experience (2+ years preferred) Previous youth camp experience preferred Strong communication and leadership skills Passion for working with children and young athletes Positive attitude and high energy Ability to work in a team environment Preferably based in the Miami area for day staff positions

ASSISTANT COACH RESPONSIBILITIES

Assistant Coaches will work under the direction of the Camp Director and Head Coaches. Duties include but are not limited to: Coaching and instructing campers in soccer fundamentals including: Passing, Dribbling, Shooting, Attacking, Defensive techniques, Footwork and strategy Assisting with drills, scrimmages, and daily training sessions Supervising campers throughout camp activities Providing individualized feedback, encouragement, and mentorship Assisting with field setup and organization of equipment Supporting check-in/check-out procedures and camp logistics Helping maintain a safe, positive, and competitive environment Following all camp schedules, safety procedures, and leadership instructions Each coach will typically be assigned a small group of approximately 10-15 campers and will follow the daily training plan established by the Head Coach and Camp Director. Coaches are expected to remain professional, punctual, and appropriately dressed at all times. Cell phone use during active camp sessions should be limited to emergencies or camp-related operations only.

OVERNIGHT COACH / COUNSELOR POSITIONS A

limited number of Overnight Coach/Counselor positions are available. Overnight staff may stay on campus during camp sessions and will assist with: Evening camper supervision Dorm and residential duties Evening activities and group management Camper check-in/check-out Maintaining camper safety and structure outside of sports hours Overnight staff must be mature, responsible, and comfortable supervising minors in a residential camp environment.

CAMP DETAILS
