Parkour Coach: Camps & Birthday Parties

About us Miami Freerunning & Parkour Academy is a parkour gym located in West Kendall. Our goal is to improve the confidence of each student that enters our facility. We do so through a fun and exciting sport (parkour) where we challenge our abilities to run, jump, climb, swing, flip, etc. Providing our students a safe learning space (in all senses) is our #1 priority. There is nothing quite like the joy and excitement a student gains when they accomplish a challenge they were not certain they could do.

• Job Summary
• As a Lead Coach for our Parkour Birthday Parties, you will play a vital role in making this each birthday child's best birthday yet.
• Responsibilities
• Provide a fun and exciting energy that will engage and motivate the party participants: our goal is for the participants to leave saying "This was the best birthday party ever!"
• Engage with the parents / party organizers: our goal is for parents to leave saying "This was the easiest birthday party ever."
• Lead a team of 1 to 5 assistant parkour coaches and identify each coach's responsibilities: our goal is for our team to say "That was an easy party."
• Ensure the participants have an amazing and safe experience: SAFETY is the #1, #2, and #3 priorities.
• Lead the set up of birthday party decorations and materials prior to party start and the cleaning after each party's end
• Skills
• Experience working with children in a sport setting
• Background in Parkour (ideal) and/or gymnastics, martial arts, tricking, etc
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with participants and their families
• Calm but exciting demeanor to engage the children but also manage their excitement
• Schedule
• Parties are normally scheduled for Saturdays at 2:30PM and 5:30PM and Sundays at 11AM and 2PM. Arrival is 30 minutes prior to the party start time. Each party is at least 2 hours. Plus 30 minutes at the end of each party for clean up.
• Parties are normally booked more than 2 weeks ahead of the party date.
