  • $50 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Youth programs teaching experience Sports team experience Sports coaching Child behavior management Working with children Working with students Teaching Working with youth Classroom management interventions Full Job Description The City of Aventura is looking for youth volleyball coaches to either be an assistant travel volleyball coach or the head travel volleyball coach for our City travel volleyball program.
This season will be our inaugural travel volleyball season and we are excited to get started! Tryouts will be held on June 23 & 25 from 6:15-8:45 and also on August 17 & 19. We are looking for highly qualified coaches to join our staff for the tryouts and possibly for the entire season. Arrival 15-30 minutes early and staying 15-30 minutes after is required for setup/preparation. Experience working with kids is a requirement and experience coaching volleyball is also required. A background check will also be required if hired. Ages range from 12U to 15U. Pay will be $35
  • 50 per hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement practice plans and strategies for the volleyball classes
  • Provide instruction and guidance to players on proper techniques, skills, and game strategies
  • Plan and organize team practices, drills, and scrimmages
  • Evaluate player performance and provide feedback for improvement
  • Foster a positive and supportive team environment
  • Manage behavior of players during classes
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with students or athletes in a coaching or teaching capacity
  • Knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage behavior and maintain discipline within the class
