Additional hours as athlete enrollment and programs expand About Narrow Path Athletics Narrow Path Athletics is a sports performance training facility focused on helping youth, high school, and college athletes become stronger, faster, more explosive, and more confident in their movement. Our training goes beyond simply putting athletes through workouts. We emphasize long-term athletic development through strength training, plyometrics, speed and change of direction, movement quality, injury-risk reduction, and measurable performance testing. We are growing and looking for a Sports Performance Coach who genuinely enjoys coaching athletes and wants an opportunity to grow alongside our program. The Role We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and knowledgeable coach to lead our Friday and Saturday training sessions. You will primarily coach small-group sports performance sessions while following Narrow Path Athletics' established programming and coaching system. Our current small groups are intentionally kept small, allowing our coaches to provide athletes with individual attention, technical feedback, and a high-quality training experience.
Responsibilities include:
Coach youth and competitive athletes through structured sports performance sessions Teach and reinforce proper strength-training, plyometric, sprinting, agility, and movement techniques Follow programming and training standards provided by Narrow Path Athletics Provide appropriate regressions and progressions based on an athlete's ability Create an energetic, positive, and professional training environment Build relationships with athletes and parents Maintain athlete safety and proper supervision throughout sessions Help set up and maintain an organized training environment Communicate consistently with ownership regarding athlete progress, attendance, or concerns Represent Narrow Path Athletics professionally Who We're Looking For We're not simply looking for someone to supervise workouts. We want a coach—someone who can connect with athletes, teach movements, bring energy to sessions, and care about athlete development. A strong candidate will be dependable, confident working with young athletes, willing to learn our training system, and comfortable receiving coaching and feedback themselves.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience coaching athletes or working in strength & conditioning, exercise science/kinesiology background, and/or a nationally recognized training certification such as CSCS, NSCA-CPT, NASM, ACE, or similar. CPR/AED certification is strongly preferred. College students studying exercise science, kinesiology, strength & conditioning, or a related field who have strong coaching ability are encouraged to apply. Compensation Competitive hourly contractor rate based on experience and qualifications. This is currently structured as a 1099 independent contractor position. What Matters Most to Us Reliability.
