Job Description

Dedicated to Excellence, Committed to Service PCA Coach (Baseball) A PCA Coach trains students in a sport from a Christian perspective while following all school and league regulations. The Coach will teach, motivate, and lead students in a safe and structured environment and will communicate regularly with parents and the Athletic Director. Plan Practice Stay current with various practice techniques and game plays. Prepare practical and efficient practices that consistently enforce safe game play. Provide skill development sessions which include core and position specific skills as well as game understanding. Devise and implement strategies to help individual players improve. Develop Character Promote character development in students by teaching Bible-based life principles through coaching and personal example. Seek ways to develop players both on and off the field. Maintain Records and Procedures Maintain accurate records according to established guidelines and procedures. Comply with PCA guidelines regarding coaching duties and assignments. Communicate with Others Communicate regularly with players and parents. Communicate with Athletic Director, resolving scheduling conflicts and reporting progress of team and individual athletes. FLSA Status - Professional (Exempt) Education Required College Degree Work Experience Required 1+ years in coaching Physical Requirements and Skills Ideal candidates must be born-again Christians and must be dedicated to training young people for serving God; and must desire to educate students based on biblical values and be committed to excellence as a Christian educator who glorifies Christ as the source of all wisdom and knowledge.
