Position Summary RPS Academies is seeking passionate, energetic, and ambitious tennis coaches who are ready to dedicate their careers to developing the next generation of champions. This is not a club coaching position. This is not a teaching position. This is an opportunity to become a high-performance coach inside one of the world's few fully integrated boarding sports academies dedicated to developing elite student athletes. As a High-Performance Tennis Coach , you will play a critical role in developing athletes both on and off the court through technical training, competition planning, mentorship, recruiting support, and long-term athlete development. Key Responsibilities Athlete Development & Coaching Coach and develop high-performance junior tennis players. Execute daily technical, tactical, physical, and mental training sessions. Develop individualized player improvement plans. Monitor athlete development and provide ongoing evaluations and feedback. Utilize video analysis and performance tools to support athlete growth. Reinforce habits that support long-term athletic and personal development. Training & Performance Implement annual training and periodization plans. Coordinate development plans around tournament schedules. Collaborate with strength coaches, athletic trainers, sports psychology, and performance staff. Support injury prevention, recovery, and athlete wellness initiatives. Competition & Tournament Support Travel domestically and internationally with athletes. Coach at USTA, ITF, Tennis Europe, COSAT, collegiate, and professional tournaments. Assist in tournament planning, scheduling, registration, and logistics. Evaluate performance outcomes and adjust training plans accordingly. Recruiting & Enrollment Support Recruit domestic and international student-athletes. Assist with athlete evaluations and admissions activities. Support recruiting events, showcases, camps, and academy initiatives. Build relationships with coaches, clubs, and prospective families. Student-Athlete Support & Communication Communicate regularly with parents regarding athlete progress and expectations. Partner with academic and residential teams to support student success. Mentor student-athletes on accountability, discipline, and leadership. Support athletes navigating both collegiate and professional pathways. Program Administration Maintain athlete evaluations, progress reports, and training documentation. Assist with scheduling, equipment oversight, and operational support. Contribute to camps, clinics, marketing initiatives, and academy promotions. Support overall academy goals and athlete retention efforts. Safety & Compliance Maintain athlete safety standards and emergency preparedness procedures. Complete required background screenings and training. Maintain CPR/First Aid and SafeSport certifications (or willingness to obtain). Ensure compliance with academy policies and student supervision expectations. Performance Expectations Success in this role may be measured through: Athlete development and progression Competitive performance and tournament participation Student-athlete retention Recruitment and enrollment contribution Parent and athlete satisfaction College placement outcomes Contribution to academy culture and objectives Qualifications Required Competitive tennis playing experience. Experience coaching junior or competitive athletes. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Willingness and ability to travel throughout the year. Passion for high-performance coaching and athlete development. Preferred Collegiate tennis playing experience. Professional playing or coaching experience. Experience with periodization and long-term athlete development. Experience using video analysis and performance tools. CPR/First Aid certification. Work Schedule This position requires flexibility including early mornings, evenings, weekends, tournaments, international travel, camps, recruiting events, and academy activities.
