In this energetic role, you will lead a variety of sports, fitness, and recreational activities, fostering teamwork, skill development, and fun. Your passion for physical activity and ability to motivate others will create a positive environment where participants can thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on community members while honing your coaching skills across multiple sports and activities. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and lead engaging recreational activities, including sports such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, karate, judo, and swimming. Provide clear instruction on sports-specific techniques and safety protocols to participants of different ages and skill levels. Ensure the safety of all participants by supervising activities closely and operating first aid equipment such as AEDs when necessary. Manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies to maintain a fun and respectful environment. Communicate regularly with clients, parents, or guardians regarding progress, schedules, and safety concerns. Demonstrate leadership by motivating teams during sports practices and competitions while fostering teamwork and sportsmanship. Maintain equipment, ensure facilities are safe and clean, and adhere to health club or recreation center policies. Experience Prior experience working with children in sports or recreational settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated coaching experience in sports such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, martial arts (karate or judo), or swimming is essential. Lifeguard experience with certification in swimming, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, and AED operation is strongly recommended. Background in teaching physical education or sports-specific training instruction will be advantageous. Proven ability to lead teams effectively with strong communication skills and client interaction experience. Familiarity with health club operations or gym environments is a plus.
