Job Description

Build stronger, more resilient Soldiers while shaping how Army Reserve units train. Testudo Logistics is seeking a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach to develop practical, scalable physical-readiness programs for a part-time force. You will combine high-performance coaching, adult education, and hands-on field support in a role with visible impact on readiness and injury-risk reduction. You will be the dedicated local Strength and Conditioning Coach based in Tampa, Florida supporting the 81st Readiness Division. You will work directly with Army leaders and coordinate with other H2F professionals to bring practical, high-quality physical-readiness support to geographically dispersed units. The anticipated salary range for this position is $58,000 - $82,000 per year. Actual pay will be based on location, education, relevant experience, professional credentials, and other job-related factors. What you'll do Develop and implement command-specific, periodized physical-readiness and special-conditioning programs aligned with Army fitness standards and unit mission requirements. Coach Soldiers and leaders on safe, effective exercise technique across strength, power, endurance, mobility, agility, and work-capacity development. Create scalable training templates, exercise-demonstration resources, and equipment-modification guidance for units with varying facilities and resources. Partner with athletic training, nutrition, and cognitive performance professionals to integrate injury-risk reduction, recovery, fueling, and mental-readiness strategies. Support educational reconditioning programs for Soldiers returning from injury in coordination with unit medical personnel; this role does not provide clinical rehabilitation. Coach and mentor unit H2F Integration Teams, collect program data, maintain current resources, and contribute to reports and knowledge transfer. What you'll bring Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Current Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential from NSCA or Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) credential from CSCCa. Current BLS/CPR certification with AED training. At least three years of experience within the last four years designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for tactical populations or collegiate/professional athletic teams. Ability to lift and manipulate loads up to 45 pounds and work with Soldiers outdoors, over rough terrain, and in austere environments, with reasonable accommodations where applicable. Eligibility and access U.S. citizenship is required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Confidential personnel security clearance and satisfy applicable background investigation, suitability, installation-access, CAC, and system-access requirements. Schedule and travel This is a full-time, primarily in-person position based at Tampa, Florida. The schedule follows Army Reserve training calendars and may include evenings, weekends, Battle Assemblies, and Annual Training. Regular travel within the continental United States to supported unit locations is expected.
