Join British Swim School as a Swim Instructor and turn your passion for swimming into a rewarding part-time job. You'll spend your days helping children learn, build confidence, stay safe around water, and—most importantly—have fun! No prior swim-instructor experience is required. We provide paid training! You should, however, be a confident swimmer with knowledge of basic swim strokes.

1930 FL-60, Valrico, FL 33594 Local applicants only: Please apply only if you can comfortably commute less than 30 minutes one way to your assigned pool location. Part-Time Schedule Approximately 10-20 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours as our business grows.

9:00 AM-2:00 PM Weekend availability is strongly preferred. What You'll Do Teach fun, engaging swimming and water-safety lessons. Follow the British Swim School curriculum and teaching methods. Create a positive, encouraging, and fun environment for children. Closely monitor students and make safety your top priority. Help children develop swimming skills, confidence, and water awareness. Communicate professionally with parents and celebrate student progress. Work comfortably in an environment with moderate to high noise levels. Be prepared to stand and work in the water for extended periods, including up to 5 consecutive hours. Participate in ongoing training and development. What We're Looking For You don't need to be an experienced swim instructor—but you do need to be a swimmer! We're looking for enthusiastic, dependable, and safety-focused individuals who love working with children and are comfortable in and around the water. Requirements & Qualifications High school diploma, equivalent, or currently working toward completion. Must be a confident swimmer and comfortable in the water. Basic knowledge of swimming strokes, including the four basic strokes , is preferred. No prior swim-instructor experience required—we provide paid training ! Enjoy working with children and helping them learn and build confidence. Patient, energetic, positive, and enthusiastic personality. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable and committed to providing a safe, fun, and positive learning environment. Comfortable standing and working in the water for extended periods, including up to 5 consecutive hours . Able to successfully complete all required British Swim School aquatics training and testing. Must maintain required certifications throughout employment. Preferred Experience Experience working with children, teaching, coaching, childcare, or customer service. Swimming experience (1-2 years preferred, but not required). Lifeguarding, SafeSport, First Aid, CPR/AED certifications are a plus but can be obtained during training . Most importantly, we're looking for people who enjoy working with kids, love being in the water, and believe that having fun while teaching is part of the job!
