Assistant Basketball Coach / Success Coach

Overview The Assistant Basketball Coach/Academic Success Coach is responsible for supporting the Head Coach by coaching student athletes, serving as a lead mentor shepherding parent relations and student progress in athletics and academics They assist with scheduling, and the oversight of the discipline, conduct, and image of the student athlete. The Assistant Basketball Coach/Academic Success Coach helps students to identify, develop, and implement learning strategies and study skills specific to course materials while collaborating with others as necessary to monitor and accelerate the academic progress of students. Responsibilities Athletics Assist with daily basketball coaching and competitive basketball programs Assist with training for the Crossover Kings travel competitive basketball programs Assist in managing basketball and training equipment Daily setup and clean up Act as backup for vehicle maintenance Maintain student athlete records in Salesforce including ensuring up-to-date physicals for all students Assist in developing and managing parent relationships Run and document fitness and skill assessments in the beginning and end of the school year for all students Maintenance of the downstairs facilities Act as back up for receiving/picking up of food donations Mentoring Serve as Success Coach and accompany students to academic mentoring Monitor academic progress & provide tutoring, as necessary Accompany students on extracurricular activities and/or field trips Requirements 3 years' experience working with youth in sports and basketball coaching Strong interpersonal skills with youth and parents who are under-resourced or at risk Strong oral communication skills with the ability to convey a vision of Crossover Mission's strategic future to parents, volunteers, and donors Knowledge of high school basketball athletics Knowledge of Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and NCAA rules and regulations Administrative skills and being organized and accountable to measurable results Ability to hold student athletes accountable to their academic success Join us to make a meaningful impact by empowering young athletes through energetic coaching and dedicated mentorship. Pay:

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
