Job Overview Fulton Science Acadmey is seeking an energetic and highly motivated Head of Strength and Conditioning Coach to lead our athletic development programs and elevate athlete performance. This pivotal role involves designing innovative strength and conditioning training programs, overseeing team coaching efforts, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for fitness, extensive experience working with athletes, and strong leadership skills to inspire and guide both staff and clients toward achieving their full potential. This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of athletic excellence within a dynamic fitness environment. The hours will consist of 4:00- 7:00pm Monday-Friday. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive strength, conditioning, and rehabilitation programs tailored to individual athlete needs, sports requirements, and performance goals. Lead coaching sessions, providing expert instruction in biomechanics, body mechanics, weight handling, and functional movement techniques. Ensure all training activities adhere to safety protocols by applying first aid, CPR, AED operation, manual handling procedures, and physiology knowledge. Monitor athlete progress through regular assessments, adjusting programs to optimize results while maintaining injury prevention strategies. Collaborate with sports coaches, physiotherapists, and other health professionals to support holistic athlete development. Manage team leadership responsibilities by mentoring staff, overseeing daily operations within the fitness center, and fostering a motivating environment. Maintain detailed records of training sessions, athlete progress reports, safety incidents, and program modifications. Skills Extensive knowledge of biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics relevant to athletic performance enhancement. Proven experience in designing and implementing strength and conditioning training programs for diverse athletes or sports teams. Strong coaching skills with the ability to teach group fitness classes or personal training sessions effectively. Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and manual handling are essential for ensuring safety standards are met. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing teams within a fitness or sports environment. Excellent communication skills to engage clients effectively and foster a positive training atmosphere. Familiarity with fitness industry best practices including gym operations, health club standards, and client service excellence.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
