Job Description

At N Zone Sports Gwinnett, our mission is to provide the highest quality youth sports programming—starting with a child's very first sports experience. We believe that learning the fundamentals should be fun, and our programs are designed to promote skill development in a positive and engaging environment. N Zone Sports is looking for passionate and energetic coaches to work with kids ages 5-9 years old in Elementary Schools After School Program to teach kids the basics of basketball. The desired candidate will have prior experience working with children, outgoing personality, enthusiasm and a love for sports.
Requirements:
A work history with children aged 5-9 for true consideration (unless you have extensive coaching background) Experience with coaching basketball is PREFERRED, but NOT necessary with a prior history working with children or having played the sport. Deliver and adapt engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse students. Teach fundamental skills and instructions for basketball. Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment during all classes and activities. Collaborate with fellow instructors to encourage participation and enhance student engagement. Oversee and maintain equipment and facilities to ensure safety and readiness for use. Communicate clearly and professionally with students, parents, and staff regarding progress, performance, and program updates.

Basketball League Details:
Program Length:
8-12 week basketball After School Begins September. Must be available between 2:45-5:30
Ages:
Boys and girls, 5-9 years old
Focus:
instructional program emphasizing fundamental skill development: speed, agility, coordination, and cognitive learning in a fun setting. Kids will practice applying these skills through engaging drills and activities.
Scrimmages:
Light scrimmages will be introduced midway, with the last 4 weeks featuring longer scrimmages. If you are passionate about youth development, love basketball, and enjoy making sports fun for kids, we'd love to have you on our coaching team!
