This role is responsible for leading the Junior Varsity program, focusing on skill development, competitive preparation, and the integration of Christian values into the athletic experience. The JV Head Coach serves as a vital bridge between the Middle School and Varsity programs. Key Responsibilities 1. Leadership & Spiritual Mentorship Model a consistent Christian walk and lead athletes in prayer and character-building exercises. Foster an environment of sportsmanship, integrity, and Tiger spirit. Mentor student-athletes to handle both success and adversity with grace. 2. Tactical & Technical Instruction Execute a coaching philosophy that aligns with the Varsity Head Coach's system to ensure program continuity. Design and lead high-energy practices focused on fundamental skill development and tactical awareness. Manage game-day operations, including personnel rotations, play-calling, and in-game adjustments. 3. Administrative & Communication Maintain clear and timely communication with parents regarding schedules, expectations, and player progress. Coordinate with the Athletic Department and Varsity Head Coach for scheduling, transportation, etc. Ensure all student-athletes meet academic and behavioral eligibility requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

Previous coaching experience (High School or Club level preferred). Collegiate playing experience is a plus.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to motivate teenage athletes.

Certifications:

Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and complete required GHSA (or relevant league) coaching courses. Physical Demands Ability to stand for extended periods and demonstrate athletic movements relevant to the sport. Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends for games and tournaments.
