Job Description

Cheer Instructor- Pooler Cheer (Saturday Program) Position Overview Pooler Cheer is seeking an energetic, positive, and reliable Cheer Instructor to lead and assist with cheer and tumbling classes for athletes ages 2-12 years old. This is a part-time, Saturday-only position focused on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and a love for movement in a fun and structured environment.
Schedule Saturdays only Typical hours:
(Insert specific times, e.g., 7:30 AM - 2:15 PM) Key Responsibilities Assist Cheer classes for ages 2-12 Teach basic to intermediate cheer skills Create a fun, safe, and structured class environment Break down skills into age-appropriate progressions Maintain control of class while keeping high energy and engagement Provide encouragement and positive feedback to all athletes Ensure safety standards are followed at all times Communicate professionally with parents when needed Assist with setup, breakdown and cleaning of equipment and mats Qualifications Experience in cheerleading, gymnastics, or tumbling preferred Experience working with children (especially ages 2-12) High energy, positive attitude Ability to manage groups of young children effectively Dependable and punctual CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not required) What We're Looking For Someone who loves working with kids A coach who can balance fun and discipline A leader who sets the tone with energy and professionalism Someone who represents strong, positive values on and off the mat Compensation Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Opportunity for growth as the program expands Why Join Pooler Cheer?
