Job Description
Part-Time Swim Coach — Year Round | Swimming and Beyond (Woodstock & Acworth, GA) $25
- 60/hr | 15+ hrs/week | 1099 Contractor | Start
ASAP ABOUT SWIMMING AND BEYOND
Swimming and Beyond is a locally owned swim instruction academy serving the Woodstock and Acworth area — built on 40 years of teaching and a genuine belief that drowning is preventable. Founded by Kelly Keating, this is a passion project as much as it is a business. Kelly still gets in the pool every week, trains every coach personally, and holds every lesson to the same standard she has upheld for four decades. We serve swimmers from the first months of life through senior adulthood — including elite athletes refining stroke technique and children with autism through our specialized Swim Angelfish program. Instruction is exclusively private (1:1) and semi-private (1:2), delivered year-round at Holbrook Spa in Woodstock and Holbrook Spa in Acworth. Every coach we hire is someone Kelly would trust with her own kids.COMPENSATION
$25- 60 per hour based on experience and certifications.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Deliver private (1:1) and semi-private (1:2) swim lessons at both Holbrook Spa locations — Woodstock and Acworth
- Instruct swimmers of all ages year-round — babies, toddlers, children, teens, and adults
- Adapt your teaching to each swimmer's comfort level, ability, and goals
- Manage your schedule and client bookings through our online scheduling platform (Acuity)
- Communicate progress clearly to families and to Kelly after each session
- Uphold water safety standards at every lesson, every time
SCHEDULE
Weekend availability is required. Additional weekday hours are based on client scheduling needs. This is a year-round position with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week.REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years or older
- 2+ years of swim teaching experience
- WSI certification (or willing to obtain)
- Lifeguard certification (or willing to obtain)
- Comfortable using a scheduling app
- Reliable transportation to both locations
