Job Description
The Junior High Girls Track Coach is responsible for providing a positive, safe, and competitive environment for student-athletes. The coach will develop fundamental track and field skills, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and support the academic and personal growth of athletes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and conduct effective practices appropriate for junior high athletes.
Teach proper techniques and fundamentals for running, jumping, and throwing events.
Develop athletes' physical fitness, confidence, discipline, and teamwork.
Provide instruction and coaching in a variety of track and field events.
Supervise student-athletes during practices, meets, and team activities.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes.
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents/guardians, school staff, and other coaches.
Attend scheduled track meets, practices, and required team activities.
Encourage good sportsmanship, respect, accountability, and positive team culture.
Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.
