DANCE TEAM COACH
GENERAL
JOB SUMMARY
This is a part-time position located on the Estherville Campus. Primary responsibilities are the development of student athletes in conditioning and competing on the dance team; evaluation and recruitment of prospective student athletes, practice, performance, and competition preparation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

): Constant (67-100%) Develop a program for recruitment, training, and placement of student athletes. Have the ability to choreograph routines for competition. Analyze performance and instruct athletes in dance strategies and techniques to prepare them for competition. Monitor academic improvement of student athletes through grade checks and study groups. Recruit prospective student athletes and make scholarship awards. Organize team practices, conditioning, meetings, performances, competition, and travel. Frequent (34-66%) Evaluate athlete's strengths and deficiencies as possible recruits or to improve the athlete's techniques to be competitive. Evaluate and select team members; ensuring a full roster of student athletes. Maintain program budget. Occasional (10-33%) Responsible for compliance with NJCAA rules and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned.

Possess the ability to maintain a flexible schedule for home and away events. Possess the ability to run practices effectively and independently.
SPECIAL DEMANDS
Coaching position involves wide range of motion requirements to demonstrate and teach different techniques to student athletes. Constant (67-100%) reaching, standing, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions and viewing various types of close visual work. Frequent (34-66%) stooping, crouching, pushing, pulling and carrying. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and 10 pounds of force frequently. Must complete Bloodborne Pathogens Training. Will require flexible hours including weekends and evenings. The additional physical demands normally expected of a coach are required. Must have valid driver's license, good driving record and provide proof of insurance. May be required to travel utilizing personal vehicle. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Collegiate experience preferred. Dance coach or studio preferred. Past experience as a student athlete and/or coach, which has provided sufficient knowledge and understanding of dance team fundamentals.

$15,000
