Job Description

Pella Christian is rooted in the Reformed faith and firmly believe that God is sovereign over all areas of life and learning, including our curricular and co-curricular activities. To fulfill the PC mission, our teachers and staff are supported by the Teaching for Transformation framework and our coaches are guided by the Coaching for Transformation framework. Recent Professional Development for teachers has focused on Teaching for Transformation, Deeper Learning, Student Support Services, and peer collaboration. We are seeking highly qualified individuals who are in full agreement with Pella Christian's Statement of Faith. Pella Christian Grade School and Pella Christian High School are accredited by Christian Schools International (CSI). Applicants must possess or be able to obtain proper licensure/endorsements as described in the job description. When a visit or teaching opportunity is not possible, candidates may be invited to interview through Zoom and asked to send a video recording of a class they've taught Cheerleading Coach Pella Christian School is prayerfully seeking passionate and dedicated applicants for a Cheerleading Coach for the 2026-27 school year. The Cheerleading Coach is responsible for organizing and executing the cheer program. This role involves coaching and fostering a positive team environment with the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of young athletes.
Qualification Requirements:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills in working with students, parents, and administration. Self-motivation, creativity, and organization. CPR and concussion certifications. Agreement with the Pella Christian School Mission and Statement of Faith, and membership and regular participation at a Christian church.
Performance Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and supervise a regular program of tryouts and practices for cheerleaders. Give individual student instruction in the skills and fundamentals of cheer. Make every effort to develop the talents of each participating student by utilizing personal attention and individualized instruction. Closely monitor team and team safety during practices and performances. Address behavioral and learning issues with students, staff and parents appropriately. Communicate frequently with the Activities Director. Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all cheerleading equipment and uniforms, and supervise the cleaning, storing, and safekeeping of equipment and uniforms.
