Head Coach of Athletics Job Summary:
The Assistant Coach of Athletics supports the Head Coach in all aspects of the athletic program, including training, mentoring, and developing student-athletes. This role requires a dedicated individual with a passion for sports, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for athletic teams. Support the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, games, and other team activities. Provide coaching and feedback to student-athletes to enhance their skills and performance. Provide support and guidance to student-athletes in their academic success and achievements. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, procedures and trainings as governed by Idaho High School Activities Association and the West Ada School District. Maintain equipment and ensure it is in good working condition. Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes sportsmanship and teamwork. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, travel arrangements, and record-keeping. Act as a role model and mentor for student-athletes.Qualifications :
Minimum of 3 years (preferred) of relevant coaching experience, with a proven track record of success. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of student-athletes, coaches, and administrators. Knowledge of HIPAA, FERPA, NFHS, IHSAA, and WASD policies and regulations CPR and First Aid certificationSkills and Abilities:
Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. High level of integrity and professionalism. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure. All candidates will be subject to a background check if offered the position.Benefits
