This seasonal position is ideal for someone passionate about developing young athletes and fostering a positive team environment. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to implement training programs, enhance player skills, and promote teamwork and sportsmanship. Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, drills, and games.
• Help develop and implement training programs to improve individual and team performance.
• Provide guidance and support to student-athletes in skill development, strategy, and game preparation.
• Monitor and evaluate player performance, providing constructive feedback to enhance growth.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship and respect.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team matters.
• Assist in organizing team events, including fundraisers, travel arrangements, and community outreach.
• Ensure compliance with all school, district, and state athletic regulations and policies.
• Attend all practices, games, and team meetings as required.
• Support the Head Coach in maintaining equipment and facilities. Requirements
• Previous coaching experience or playing experience in softball at the high school level or above.
• Strong knowledge of softball techniques, strategies, and rules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with student-athletes, parents, and staff.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes to achieve their best.
• Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during the season.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the start of the season).
• Background check clearance as required by school district policy.

This is an "at will" position in that the employer may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law.
