Youth Sports Coach / Instructor Not Out Ventures LLC Aurora, IL Job Details Part-time $18 - $25 an hour 20 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Gym membership Opportunities for advancement Flexible schedule Qualifications CPR Certification First Aid Certification Teaching Camp experience AED Certification Full Job Description We are looking for an energetic, dependable Youth Sports Coach / Instructor to lead active sports classes, after-school programs, and holiday camps for kids ages 6 to 12 . In this role, you will instruct kids in baseball, softball, pickleball, dodgeball, and other multi-sport activities as our programs evolve. You'll run fast-paced practice drills, lead active games, and use our interactive MultiBall wall system to keep every child involved, moving, and improving.
What You'll Do Teach Fundamental Skills:
Instruct hitting, throwing, catching, base running, serving, and footwork across Baseball, Softball, Pickleball, Dodgeball, and emerging youth sports.
Run Interactive Games & Drills:
Use our MultiBall wall system to run target games, accuracy challenges, and reaction drills that kids love.
Lead Active Play:
Organize structured games focused on quick movement, team play, and sportsmanship.
Lead Holiday Camps:
Help run fun, active day camps during school breaks.
Parent Communication:
Greet parents after sessions with brief, positive updates on their child's progress and effort.
Keep Energy High & Safe:
Maintain a clean, encouraging, and safe environment where kids stay active and protected.
Equipment & Facility Prep:
Handle setup and teardown of sports equipment, including setting up batting cages, adjusting baseball/softball gear, moving portable pickleball nets, and prepping MultiBall targets before and after sessions.
What We're Looking For Age & Background:
Must be at least 18 years old with high school, intramural, or collegiate sports/coaching experience. Loves Working with
Kids:
Upbeat personality with experience leading, teaching, or coaching children ages 6-12.
Sports Knowledge:
Strong understanding of basic baseball, softball, racket sports, or general multi-sport rules and mechanics.
Reliable & Clear Communicator:
Punctual, dependable, and able to keep kids focused while communicating easily with parents.
Flexible Schedule:
Availability for after-school evening shifts, weekend hours, or school holiday camp days.
Safety & Compliance Requirements Background Check:
Must pass a standard criminal background check prior to starting.
CPR & First Aid:
Current CPR / First Aid / AED certification preferred (or willing to complete certification within 30 days of hire). Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, run, and participate in physical drills alongside participants for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver sports equipment, gear bags, nets, and cage gear (up to 50 lbs) safely around the facility.
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
