ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the part-time, non-union position of Coach, Men's Football, Defensive Line.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission, and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this part-time position is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of citizenship, sportsmanship and conduct while instilling these values in the athletes of Southwestern Illinois College. The Coach - Men's Football Defensive Line, assists the Head Football Coach in developing, organizing, and administering all aspects of the community college football program related to the defensive line. The coach is responsible for teaching football fundamentals, developing student-athletes academically, athletically, and personally, and promoting sportsmanship, leadership, discipline and teamwork. .
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree required; bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, Exercise Science or a related field preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of coaching experience at the high school and/or collegiate level required; community college coaching experience preferred Prior experience recruiting student-athletes. Experience with video analysis software (e.g. Hudl) and standard computer applications preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license; obtainment of Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain required coaching certifications is required; Strength and Conditioning certification preferred. CPR/ First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
STARTING SALARY
$8,000 per year (irregular hours)

Belleville Campus with district-wide responsibilities.
