What You Will Do Designs and implements the strength and conditioning programs for men's basketball, and men's and women's cross country. Works with student-athletes individually to provide regular assessments and monitoring of conditioning activity. Assists in the operation, supervision, maintenance, and overall safety of the athletics department conditioning facilities. Assists in communicating with coaches, student-athletes, and athletic trainers as to sport needs, goals, student-athlete compliance/attendance, and medical limitations. Responsible for advising the strength, conditioning, and training coach and the Associate AD on equipment needs, safety concerns, and overall operations. Supportive of the student-athlete concept and has a demonstrated concern for the health, safety, and welfare of each student-athlete.

FLSA:

Exempt Bachelor's degree Certification from either the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA CSCS) or Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) Current CPR for Professional Rescuer or Basic Life Support certification Evidence of strong organizational skills, communication skills, and computer skills Master's degree preferred. Previous experience designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for Division I student-athletes Experience training and coaching basketball student-athletes Cover letter, resume, and transcripts required when applying.
